Re: Jack Collison
Does anybody know why Jack is ruled out of the Wales squad for next year?

If he regains fitness and gets some game time at Peterborough why wouldn't he be in contention? It's only November, surely still time?

Not as if Wales has an abundance of midfielders to choose from either. Their current squad lists two players from Forest, one from Wolves and one from Huddersfield...none of them with Premier League experience.

Why would a club doctor deliberately misdiagnose someone? It wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.

Re: Jack Collison
He wouldn't be referring to Andy Rolls would he?
When Rolls left the club in January 2014 we had a load of injuries. He joined Arsenal and look at them now.

Steinberg you say?

Hmmmn, what an unusual name. Where's it from?

Re: Jack Collison
None of the fitness / physio staff are still the same. I think Ges Steinberg was the head doctor at that time. Ashton used John Green to try to sort himself out.

What he said!

I wonder if Valencia had a point when he made noises about his treatment a few weeks back?

Re: Jack Collison
Good read that. Really quite worrying reading everything said about the medical staff. Perhaps there isn't anything wrong with Chadwell Heath, perhaps it's more the people who work there.....or did work there.

How many good players have been ruined by our backroom staff?

Presumably, and hopefully, Bilic went through and cleared out everyone he didn't think was up to it.

Re: Jack Collison
Kieron Dyer also had very indifferent things to say regarding his treatment here

Re: Jack Collison
Ashton also said he got in his own medical staff as he was so disillusioned with those at the club. I'd like to think this person/ these people are no longer at the club.

Re: Jack Collison
Thanks for that stomper. Top lad and a real shame he never got to fulfil his potential. I hope he gets to play regularly again before too long.

The comments about his treatment, or rather lack of it, by the club doctor are concerning. Valencia made similar comments last season too.

lab

Is there no chance Jack could get a late call up?

Is it only a fitness issue?

Re: Jack Collison
In a bit confused - he said early in the article that his dad was a Chelsea fan but then went on to say that when he died he was on his way to watch Tottenham at home?

Re: Jack Collison
I love Jack, I think he's such an amazing example to young footballers. I hope he manages to overcome all his problems and play regularly again because he has a real talent and superb attitude - him and behrami were excellent together, even more so when you read that and realise he was injured 90% of the time.

I will never wish jack anything other than the very best. I hope we get them in the cup and get the chance to see him at Upton Park again in our farewell season. And whatever happens to him in the future, it'll be a travesty if he doesn't end up back with us in some way shape or form

Re: Jack Collison
A great read and sounds like a top lad.

As a footballer I always thought he was struggling to find a role in the team. He's neither a proper holding midfielder nor does he have the creative vision and eye for goal of a top attacking midfielder.

As a wide player he lacks both pace and crossing ability.

That said I thought Carrick was in the same boat when he was with us but Ferguson moulded him into a really good holding midfielder.

Maybe that's also what Jack needed - an experienced manager to take an interest in him and develop him in a specific role.

Would tip a few people over the edge. A lovely lad. A footballer who was in it for the football . Refreshing.
